The random musings of a casual World of Warcraft hunter who randomly raids, PvPs, and tracks pets. Apparently, you can't take the hunter out of the game or the hunter out of the player.

You can stop stalking me now. No, really.
I've written about Sambas before.
I did not like Sambas from the beginning. But then he started mindvibing me and eventually became Leo at my side.
But it didn't stop there.
Sambas is still stalking me.
He keeps mindvibing me out of nowhere to let me know he's up.
This has gone on for months. When I tamed him back in August last year, he had already been doing it.
No other rare does this to me. Just him.
I don't understand why this happens and I definitely don't understand why this continues to happen.
I just know that at some point, his relentless stalking softened me, even past the point of taming him.
I actually love this lion. Floof and all.
Good to see you too, buddy.

Icarus may in fact be a phoenix
I can't believe this. I've finally come to terms with the truth and I still can't believe it.
I've been missing Icarus badly ever since I turned him loose to take in Leo. But I couldn't move anyone else, was my justification. Tonight, I realized that that wasn't true. I had another pet who actually hadn't clicked properly either, one who I could afford to part with in the longer term.
Kalypso. My poor neglected crab. She'd gone through three forms: blue on the PTR, white after the expanded stables were put in, and gemmed, her current look. Tonight, I finally realized that like Kallisto, Kalypso had given up her true form in the past and she'd never be the same without it. Kallisto had basically become Praline, but Kalypso's form had been inherited by Orpheus during his stint as a crab. Though it's been years since he last inhabited that shell, the association remains, which is why Kalypso hadn't taken back her blue form.
I don't know why I've hung onto her for this long. I guess I just didn't want to let go. I figured she had a shot. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
Happy trails, Kalypso. Welcome home, Icarus.

When Floof became Leo
So I suppose this was obvious to everyone but me, but Floof has attached himself into the permanent family as the first primary rotating pet. He couldn't stay under that name (as he was never supposed to), so he has changed his identifier to Leo. I was a bit concerned that he wouldn't like the name and would lose his luckiness, but if my latest dream was accurate, he hasn't. (Said dream indicated that Veph and I would have seen Blood Seeker if we had stayed up the extra couple of hours.)
